Women empowerment
The Asomugha Foundation aspires to not only educate but also to inspire and empower women and girls. We have continued to foster hope to women and girls worldwide while creating the environment for economic success (entrepreneurial endeavor), self-empowerment, and associated life-planning tools.
Women and girls have continued to experience an epic proportion of various forms of discrimination, low self-esteem, abuse, and health issues due to religious, political, social, and cultural differences. Women of all ages no matter what part of the world they live in deserve to exercise their birthrights, live in peace, with dignity, and the freedom to access all that will enhance their lives and the lives of their families.
Global Women's Conference
Dr. Lilian Asomugha uses the annual Global Women’s Conferences to advance global women’s issues and strives to inspire sisterhood worldwide, bringing together women and girls from every ethnicity to uplift, support and empower one another. Our message is for all-ages; children, young girls, sisters, mothers, and grandmothers are all vulnerable when it comes to issues facing women in our world today.
Every year in Los Angeles, California, The Asomugha Foundation brings together renowned speakers, mentors and counsellors to educate women from all walks of life on awareness and how to combat issues such as Child abuse, Human (girl) Trafficking, Financial instability, Health issues, Domestic violence, Divorce and Relationships.
OWIN
Our effort to empower women continues through our OWIN (Orphans and Widows In Need) program in Nigeria. The Vocational Center for skills acquisition built in Nigeria supports women and girls, orphans and widows and the disadvantaged. All are welcome to register and learn a trade of their choice. These individuals are given scholarships, micro business loans and other basic life necessities for support. Together we join hands to lift one another, make a difference and make our world a better place.
